LUGOGO indoor stadium will take center stage when the national inter-mediates boxing championship gets underway today.
The week-long tournament, which has drawn 100 top-flight boxers from 19 clubs, precedes the prestigious National Open due in January.
Kampala Boxing Club (KBC) and Kampala City Council (KCC) top the entry tally with nine boxers while novice champions COBAP and Jose Bak follow with eight each.
Meanwhile, national boxer Twaib Mayanja has landed an invitation to New Addington Boxing Club in London where he will take part in the England championships.
The invitation follows an outstanding show by UK-based middleweight Isaac “Zebra” Senyange who went to London last year.
