FUFA president Denis Obua is facing increasing pressure to account for sh104m belonging to the soccer body, reports William Muwonge.
Sports minister Okello Oryem said that Obua has to provide accountability as demanded by the IGG Jotham Tumwesigye early this month.
Oryem said in a statement delivered to The New Vision yesterday by his personal assistant Omara Apitta.
Apitta said his boss had personally informed Obua about the need to adhere to the IGG’s request.
Apitta said Oryem gave Obua “a deadline to retire the accountability or face the consequences.â€
Oryem was on Wednesday quoted to have said that Obua had submitted full accountability to him as head of sports in the country.
