Makindye East MP Michael Mabbike and other Uganda Young Democrats (UYD) leaders had disagreements during a workshop leading to a fight, Kabale resident district commissioner (RDC) Lt. James Mwesigye said in a letter to the internal affairs minister, Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda.

In a letter to the Speaker of Parliament, Mwesigye said the Police and LDUs rushed to the scene to contain the situation but could not identify the culprits.

He said the disagreement arose when Mabbike reportedly said President Yoweri Museveni had impoverished Ugandans.
