JINJA — The medical superintendent, Dr. Benon Wanume, has said the first children referral hospital in Uganda is to be built in the district. He said the World Bank would fund the project. He was recently speaking during the hand-over ceremony of contract documents to BMB construction company who won the tender to renovate Mukeshi Madhvani Children’s hospital, formerly Nalufenya children’s ward.

APAC — The Ibuje sub-county chairperson, Beatrice Odongo, has said the council speaker, Mathew Odwal, has resigned from his duties. She said Odwa announced his resignation during the last council meeting but did not put it in writing.
