Police in Kanungu district Impounded over 40 motorcycles for failure to meet road regulations.
The operation was led by the district traffic officer, Festo Ojubiri last week.

46 remanded
FORTY-SIX drug shop owners in Pallisa district have been remanded to Kamunge Prisons for operating without license.
Prosecution claimed they had defied orders to shut down their shops.

Malaria alert
THE Kanungu district medical officer, Dr Sebudde, has issued a malaria alert.
Dr. Sebudde told a council meeting recently that the number of malaria patients was on the rise.

Courtesy call
FORMER Somali Premier Prof. Ali Khalif Galaydh hailed President Yoweri Museveni for leading the peace search in the Great Lakes region and Somalia.
He paid Museveni a courtesy call last week.

Team donates
A NON governmental organisation based in Rakai has offered over sh60m to Kirumba sub-county for building health centres and schools.
This was announced recently by the group’s coordinator.

Xmas bonanza
Mission Hope, an organisation run by Churches in Soroti, recently donated food stuff worth sh1.2m to Arrow Group fighters based in the municipality.
