THE Alur King, Rwoth Phillip Rauni Olarker Ubimu III, has honoured two prominent elders from the kingdom who died at Mulago Hospital last weekend writes Ayiga Ondoga.
“Alur Kingdom has learnt with grief of the death of two prominent sons of Nebbi; Ossosi Jungala, a medical officer at Makerere University Medical School and Benjamin Onenwa, a businessman, that occurred on January 3, in Mulago hospital,†Olarker stated.
He said the two championed development in the kingdom. He added that their death would hamper the development programmes in the kingdom.
In a condolence massage to the bereaved families, the information minister in the kingdom, Patrick Ongom Kumakeck, said: “Death has robbed Nebbi and the Alur of men who helped the district in health and business ventures.â€
Kumakeck appealed to the bereaved families to keep the legacy of the two so that the things they did would be remembered. Onenwa was born on July 27 1953 and was a customs agent with Care Agency Limited.
Ossosi Jungala was taken to Nyapea for burial yesterday. Born in 1946, Ossosi Jungala, will be laid to rest in Ayaka parish today.
