Tugume enters kickboxing event
- Uganda Kickboxing Federation (UKBF) is to field a team of three in the world championship due in Greece next month. The team, to be led by UKBF president Hassan Sekirinya, will have world sport for all games bronze medalist Titus Tugume. He will travel with John Tumukunde and Bruhane Semogerere. “We expect the boys to put up a good show,” UKBF secretary Eddy Gombya said in Kampala.

14 Handballers in regional battle
- Uganda Amateur Handball Federation (UAHF) has named a team of 14 players for the inaugural East African Commonwealth men’s championship due in Nairobi, March Uganda will face Tanzania, Rwanda and hosts Kenya. Uganda’s team has been training for over one month at Kibuli police ground under head couch Unjima Alto. UAHF Vice president Fred Mugerwa is optimistic the team will excel in the event.
