Kitgum NGO wins stanbic sh34m pick-up

AVSI 4 Africa, a non-governmental organisation (NGO) based in Kitgum, has won the Stanbic bank’s “Business current account campaign” pick-up truck.

The NGO won the new GWM Sailor pick-up worth sh34m during the grand draw for the recently concluded promotion at the bank’s head office at Crested Towers in Kampala last week.

“We are committed to encouraging the saving culture and contributing to the growth of the economy, Sydney Mpipi, the executive director, said.

“This is one of the ways that Stanbic Bank continues to avail banking services to Ugandans in all corners of the country,” he added.

Mpipi said the campaign that run from October 6 to November 28, was also aimed at encouraging customers to open business current accounts to access various bank products like loans, funds transfers and forex facilities. “We are dedicated to empowering and meeting the needs of our customers.

“The promotion was also our way of thanking our customers by rewarding their loyalty,” Mpipi said.

To enter the draw, one had to open a business current account with sh100,000 and transact either by withdrawing or depositing money within the campaign period.

Several other customers including 16 regional customers won consolation prizes worth sh8m.
