DAPHINE Alinaitwe Mugayo, who was the best pupil in the country in the 2004 Primary Leaving Examinations from Kampala Parent’s Primary School, was again one of the best students in the O’level examinations.

Mugayo, who sat the examinations from Mt. St. Mary’s College, Namagunga, scored aggregate 8 in eight subjects and 12 in 10 subjects.

“I do not have any trick of passing examinations. It is only that I am a hardworking person,” Mugayo said.

Evace Mugayo, her mother, said: “She would wake up in the middle of the night to read. We even started getting worried that she was over- doing it.”

Mugayo attributed her success to being the education minister at her school.

She wants to study sciences at the same school to become a pharmacist.
