EDITOR—I am responding to Ntegye Asiimwe’s letter titled: “Why Retain Nasasira?†that appeared in The New Vision of February 19. I find it ridiculous for Asiimwe who lives in Oslo-Norway not to be comfortable with Nasasira’s retention in Cabinet.
Nasasira has done a lot to improve Uganda’s roads since he took over the Ministry of Works and Transport in 1986.
However, due to selfishness, we often fail to appreciate other people’s achievements and instead look for their mistakes. Before criticising Nasasira, ask yourself: What have I done for the country?
Compare yourself with Nasasira and you will see why he deserves re-appointment. If all Ugandans learnt how to appreciate one another, Uganda would be peaceful.
