BANK of Africa is to invest sh4.8b in the opening of seven new branches by the end of the year, a top official said over the weekend.

BANK of Africa is to invest sh4.8b in the opening of seven new branches by the end of the year, a top official said over the weekend.

“We are planning to spend $350,000 in the opening of each branch and new seven branches should be operational by the end of this year.

“Three of the branches will be in Kampala and four will be in various upcountry locations,’ said Kwame Ahadzi, the managing director.

Ahadzi was speaking after receiving the most innovative customer service award, which the bank won in recognition of its customer appreciation activities held last year by the members of staff.

The award was given by IFS School of Finance, the world’s leading provider of financial education to financial services professionals.

IFS organises the financial innovations awards, to showcase the industry’s leading innovators including people who bring exceptional results to financial services. The awards are in their 12th year.
