THREE days to a game that could give KCC Uganda’s best chance to enter the Champions League group stages, it emerges coach George Nsimbe has no clue how his opponents play.

Despite SuperSport featuring every weekend in the South Africa league live on television, Nsimbe has not got a chance to watch them, and will now rely on Ugandan South Africa based player Timothy Batabaire for tactical insights.

“I have spoken with him (Batabaire) and he promised to avail me with the necessary notes about them before Wednesday since I have not watched them play before,” Nsimbe said.

SuperSport have not had a good build up, with the side being knocked out of a major cup competition on Saturday.

SuperSport fell 2-0 to Orlando Pirates in the Nedbank Cup but optimistic they are still good enough to knockout KCC and likely book a game in the next round against El Merreikh of Sudan.

Cranes custodian Denis Onyango is expected to start in goal for SuperSport

“We are mentally ready for any of the adversities in campaigning in Africa, both on and off the field,” SuperSport captain Bongani Khumalo stated.

“We have a great advantage that most of the players in the team have played in Africa before and their experience will be a major boost in achieving our dreams of winning the CAF Champions League this season,” Khumalo added.

SuperSport arrives in the country on Wednesday.
