THE Police in Bushenyi has warned residents of Bunyaruguru county to be careful when dealing with traditional healers from the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The district police commander, Jimmy Oyuku, said because Bunyaruguru was near the Uganda-Congo border, many healers from Congo settled in the area and carried out different activities. He was speaking during a sensitisation campaign recently. Oyuku urged the residents, especially those who stay at fish landing sites, to be alert.

He said cases of human sacrifice were increasing because of the activities of the healers. He said the Police had sensitised residents of Kisenyi, Katunguru, Kashaka and Kazinga landing sites in Katunguru sub-county.
