In this very same year, Uganda is in the thirtieth year since the murderous regime of the brutal dictator Idi Amin was ousted. One glaring aspect of that Amin-led regime was the ‘disappearance’ of people that were picked up by the state machinery then.

Thousands of able-bodied, healthy men and women of sound mind with loving young families to go back to just vanished! Ugannda should emulate Rwanda. There are some progressive designs for the Namanve area today.

That was the site where thousands of bodies of the ‘disappeared’ were dumped, according to witnesses who include widows and families who had to bribe security personnel to have access to try and identify their loved ones. Our political and faith leaders should consider assisting them to finally find that closure to a horrendous chapter in their lives.
