EDITOR—I refer to your story, “Over sh7b for free secondary education delayed†published on Tuesday. In this story, you correctly mentioned the amount of money that Government pays for a student in both Government- aided and private schools, which is sh41,000 and sh47,000, respectively.
However, you wrongly stated that Government pays sh5m per term to each private school implementing the programme! As far as I know, Government pays only the sh47,000 per student in a private school and nothing else.
If private schools are entitled to this amount, then several schools have not received it.
