GOALKEEPER Abbey Dhaira (left) could make a dream career move to English football if he impresses during trials with Birmingham City. Birmingham are second in the Coca-Cola Football League, just two points behind table leaders Wolverhampton in the race for Premiership promotion.
Uganda Cranes coach Bobby Williamson let Birmingham know the qualities of the 22-year-old goalkeeper, who could fly to Birmingham later this month.
Williamson revealed the Birmingham interest to the The Telegraph, and added, “There’s (also) a 22-year-old striker called Brian Umwony, who’s been scoring goals for fun.â€
“Then there’s a more experienced lad called Tony Mawejje, who can play in midfield or up front.â€
“Stephen Bengo is another with great potential. A wide player for Sports Club Villa, he can dribble and finish with the best of them,†Williamson said as he promoted his national team players.
