Beach volleyball refs course set
- Uganda Volleyball Federation (UVF) have organised their first ever seminar where the domestic beach volleyball referees will get training. Only graduates from the course, due at Lugogo indoor stadium today, will officiate at the club national beach volleyball circuit at Lido Beach in Entebbe. The course follows one sanctioned by the International Volleyball Federation. Eighteen referees graduated after the course held in Entebbe.

Fan wins DVD in SoccerTXT draw
- Badru Senyonga won a DVD player in the first draw first draw conducted SoccerTXT 6969, a new company formed recently. The firm also gave away a mobile phone to Steven Kimuli at the draw held in Kampala on Friday. The two winners had correctly answered questions about the Premier League games held in England at the weekend. The company will conduct more draws where winners will be rewarded.

McAllister ready
- Bishop McAllister, Kyogyera SS is set to make a fresh bid to earn promotion to the Uganda Super League. The school qualified for the Western Super Mini football championship and has vowed to put up a winning perform in an attempt to storm the premier league. The regional event will kick off later in Fort Portal on May 2. Team coach Innocent Mukhole believes his charges have what it takes to compete in the top flight.
