KAMPALA - Like some other candidates in the Rubaga division LC3 by-election, Peter Ssematimba from the National Resistance Movement party has been blessed by the Buganda Kingdom. The premier, Eng. J B Walusimbi, wished Ssematimba luck in the elections during a function to hand him an allegiance Kingdom certificate on Wednesday. Ssematimba paid sh500,000 for the certificate.

KAMPALA - A man accussed of defiling his 10-year-old step-daugther was recently freed after the chief magistrate of Nakawa Court, Deo Nizeyimana, found him innocent. Roger Olweny had been accussed of defiling the young girl in his house in Kirombe, a Kampala suburb, on January, 1 2003. The matter was reported to the Police by the girl’s mother.
