Moses Kipsiro enters IISU family run

RUNNERS at the International School of Uganda (ISU) Family run will have a chance to race alongside Moses Kipsiro in the 10km event set for April 26 at Lubowa.

The reigning Uganda Sportsman of The Year confirmed participation last week.
Kipsiro, the World Cross Country silver medalist, is among 500 runners expected to enter the annual event, whose proceedings will go towards raising school fees for disadvantaged children and assist a community project.

“He has entered the race. It will be a great boost for the event and also the athletes who are going to compete,” said ISU coach Ronnie Kasirye of the runner, who also won the national cross country and MTN Kampala International Marathon 10km run last year.

Kipsiro is expected to run alongside Isaac Kiprop and Joseph Nsubuga in the 5th edition of the event sponsored by Stanbic Bank.

Already 300 runners have registered for the 10km and 5km categories of the run set to start and end at Lubowa Campus on Entebbe Road. Nakulabye Junior Primary School and SOS Village Gulu will be among the beneficiaries from the proceedings of this year’s run, whose registration is till going on at the different Stanbic Bank outlets.
