OLD Kampala SS and Kigezi High squeezed through to the last 16 in the COPA Coca-Cola schools soccer tournament in Fort Portal yesterday.

Abbey Segujja was the hero with the only goal as Old Kampala saw off Dynamic 1-0.

The Kampala giants take on Soroti SS in the competitive second round tomorrow.

Kigezi High (Kabale) beat Bishop Angello Negri College (Gulu) to also advance as Soroti edged hosts St. Leo’s College on goal difference at the top of their group to sneak into the next round.

Jinja Parents made it into the knockout stage after humbling Ndejje SS 3-0.

Other teams that booked late berths to the knockout stages yesterday were Yale High (Kayunga), Atapara, Monsignor Bala (Adjumani).

They join holders St. Mary’s SS Kitende, TOPA Saviour High (Kiboga) Bishop McAllister and Kibuli SS.
