I would like to thank Tema Kafero and Lillian Natukunda for pleading for the workers of Uganda in their letters on Thursday. The Government has no right to borrow NSSF money because NSSF is not a lending institution and the money there belongs to individuals. All NSSF members pay income tax (pay as you earn).

I wonder why the MPs should suggest to the Government to borrow money from NSSF when the same Government is busy cancelling sh28b to save Sudhir Ruparelia and Hassan , Basajjabalaba! What is special about them? Where are the workers’ MPs and why don’t they suggest that the NSSF money should be lent to the beneficiaries?

Why must we be made to wait until we are 55 years old when our money is being devoured by inflation and political predetors?
