IN the five years since its debut, Studio 53, M-Net’s lifestyle series, has captivated audiences across Africa, while capturing the continent’s appeal and celebrating its talent, landscapes and energy.
Now, things are getting better.

The popular series is getting a new look and has moved to Sunday 6:00pm. The show is now longer – screens for an hour, and will incorporate the best of its past with several dynamic new elements and three gorgeous new presenters.

Joining host Gaetano Kagwa will be new faces Thembi Lekwaila (Botswana), Grace Kelly Kalassa (DRC) and Ndaka Chigariro (Zimbabwe).

Then there is the old team of six field presenters: adventurous Fareed Khimani (Kenya), charming IK Osakioduwa (Nigeria) and elegant Anita Erskine (Ghana).

Still focussed on positively profiling the events, people and places of Africa, the series will move out of its former studio, and each week, one of Africa’s most breathtaking and glamourous locations will serve as the backdrop to the week’s stories.

“It has a fresh new dimension. It is now longer to meet the demand for lifestyle programming. The Sunday time-slot is for the weekend family gathering.”
