Farmers get sh42m inputs
MBALE-A total of 26 model farmers from Bunghoko sub-county have received farm inputs worth sh42m from the National Agricultural Advisory Services (NAADS. The items that included spray pumps, fertilisers, coffee pulpers, fungicides, fertilisers, tarpaulins and pruning clippers were handed over by the sub-county agricultural officer, Rose Nabirye. She said two of the farmers were recommended by President Yoweri Museveni during a tour of the Prosperity-for-All programme in Bugisu sub-region in August last year.
50 goats impounded
NAMUTUMBA-Authorities have impounded over 50 goats that have been loitering in the town. The district law enforcement officer, Enoch Byaruhanga, said the animals had increased accidents and made the town dirty. He added that the owners would be fined for neglect.
