EDITOR—I have been following stories about Face Technologies in the press. It is a hassle getting a driving permit. There is no technology at Face Technologies! They claim to be computerised but the question is, how long does a computer take to read data and print out the results?
Getting a permit from Face Technologies is not only a nightmare, but the period it takes for this ‘technology’ to make one for you is in ‘rewind-to-back’ technology.
The number of windows you are told to go to before the permit is issued is a huge bother! Why so many windows if you are technologically empowered?
It makes no sense having your picture taken and then told to go back after seven days to pick the permit! Moreover, to get to that stage, you will have waited 10-14 working days to be able to have your picture taken, after the date you paid to URA for the permit.
In addition, Face Technologies is far from the city. It takes 30-60 minutes from town to Face Technologies. As if that is not bad enough, the equipment at face Technologies is faulty most of the time and so getting there is no guarantee that you will get your driving permit processed.
Face Technologies should either establish modern technology or change its name to ‘Fake Technologies’. This will help everyone who goes there to know what kind of technology is processing their permits.
