AFROPOP mixes African and Western rhythms. Theentire nation’s hottest music stars love it. And now local pop music chanteuse Desire Luzinda has made the beat even livelier with a brand new song called Nyumirwa Obulamu.

The title track of her 2009 album, is enjoying airplay. Luzinda tells of how sweet life feels when a lover is close by.

The chorus is intriguing with Luzinda repeating catchy and buoyant musical phrases. The song was recorded by Benon of Swangz Avenue, Nyumirwa Obulamu.

The video was shot by the celebrated Markville and features lots of ‘girlpower.’ Luzinda has beencriticised as a pop starlet who thrives on good looks.

However, with catchy and bouncy new tunes, Luzinda is out to prove that she is more than mere pop fluff. Nyumirwa Obulamu is testimony
to her efforts.
