MAIN Street Primary School football team has been rewarded with a goat for winning the Jinja municipal council soccer competition. The goat was offered by the school headmaster Juma Tibiita to the victorious players. Main street beat Jinja Army Boarding Primary School 3-0 in the final at Spire Road.

Ball games in Kasese town
GENERAL - This year’s national primary ball games championship kicked off at Nyakasanga playground yesterday with a football curtain raiser that saw Kasese beating Maracha-Terego 3-2. The boys’ and girls’ football, netball and volley ball tournament had by yesterday attracted over 2,400 players from 40 districts with Adjuman arriving first on Monday. Stanbic Bank Kasese supported the gala with at least 50 cartons of mineral water.

Kyabazinga Cup boosted

SOCCER - State minister for trade Gagawala Wambuzi has donated a trophy to boost the ongoing Kyabazinga Cup in Busoga region. It was handed over by Michael Babalanda to the minister for youth and sports in Busoga Kingdom Farouk Kirunda, at the Lukiiko hall in Bugembe on Tuesday.
Babalanda said the minister had also promised a bull to the winning team.
