Christian Fund, an organisation that helps needy children, recently changed its name to Child Fund International. Children had fun during the ceremony that was held at the fund’s offices in Namirembe, Kamapala.

The Nnabagereka (queen of Buganda), Sylvia Nagginda, was the chief guest at the function. Children aged between six and 14 presented various items to the guests, who included teachers and pupils from various schools.

They sang songs, danced, recited poems and even acted short plays. The director, Davidson Jonah, said the name was changed so that people would stop thinking of the organisation as one that was only for Christians. He said they wanted all children also to benefit from it.

More than 400 children have benefited from this organisation.
