THE Kasana-Luweero bishop has advised the the residents of Luweero Triangle to stop lamenting over the devastation caused by the National Resistance Army liberation war.

THE Kasana-Luweero bishop has advised the the residents of Luweero Triangle to stop lamenting over the devastation caused by the National Resistance Army liberation war.

The Rt. Rev. Joseph Semwogerere said people were poor because they were not exploiting the fertile land to develop the area.

“The war ended 23 years ago, but we are still crying of poverty, yet God endowed us with fertile land . Let us use it to fight poverty,”Semwogerere said at a fundraising for a new church at Nakikonge sub-parish in Katikamu catholic parish recently.

He also criticised parents who neglect their children and fail to instill moral values in them.

About sh6m was raised at the function presided over by Sebuufu Kisekka, a son of the late vice-president, Dr. Samson Kisekka.
