THE father of the 12-year-old boy, who was murdered for ritual sacrifice last year, wept after giving his testimony in Masaka High Court on Wednesday.

Joseph Mugwanya was giving evidence in a case in which city tycoon Godfrey Kato-Kajubi is accused of murdering Joseph Kasirye on October 27, 2008 in a witchdoctor’s house.

Mugwanya told court that on October 28, 2008, he went with the Police and other people to retrieve the body of his son from a swamp.

He said the witchdoctor, Umaru Kateregga, had directed the Police where he and other people had dumped the body.

Kateregga and his wife, Mariam Nabukeera, are state witnesses.

Mugwanya said they found the body in a sack, without the head and private parts.

Others who testified are the LCI chief of Kayugi, Gerald Matovu and a Police constable, Eddy Kyeyune, who was in charge of Kako Police Post.
