SENEGALESE-American music star Akon is confirmed to headline at the 2009 MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMAs) with Zain at the Indoor Arena, Moi International Sports Centre in Nairobi, Kenya on October, 10.
SENEGALESE-American music star Akon is confirmed to headline at the 2009 MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMAs) with Zain at the Indoor Arena, Moi International Sports Centre in Nairobi, Kenya on October, 10.
He will perform alongside Fugees’ alumnus Wyclef Jean and a host of Africa’s most celebrated contemporary artists including our very own Blu3, Kenya’s Wahu; M.I. (Nigeria); Ghanaian star, Samini; and South African Afro Soul goddess, Lira. Blu3 are also nominees in the best performer and best group categories.
“Africa is my heart. I feel especially blessed to finally be able to perform in Kenya and am honoured that MTV and Zain asked me to be a part of such an incredible event,†said Akon.
