EDITOR—A month ago, I was a victim of financial fraud and did not know where to go for help. Every friend I contacted emphasised that going to the Police would just result in my losing more money because it would involve bribery and getting no justice in return.

However, a colleague at work advised me to get in touch with a Police officer he knew. This officer was Assistant Inspector of Police Bagambaki of Kyenjojo. When I contacted him, he immediately introduced me to the District Police Commander, Kyenjojo whom I found very courteous, contrary to my fears. He was down to earth and very friendly.

He did not ask me for any money and instead used his own airtime to call me whenever need arose. I suggest that such Police officers should be rewarded and emulated.
