Problems can be solved amicably

Though it is unfair for the university to hike functional and retake fees abruptly, I don’t see how a motorist retiring home after a hectic day becomes part of the problem. Why pelt people with stones?

Students can peacefully decide not to attend lectures for a week and their leaders can engage the administration in talks. Although at times some lecturers do lose students’ marks or intentionally make them retake a paper, a serious student can never strike over hiking of retake fees.

Why resit papers? Many students idle around until the last two weeks of the semester before they start concentrating on their studies and end up retaking course units.

These are the people at the forefront of arguing over retake fees because they did not study hard.
