While celebrating 10 years in music last Sunday at Lido Beach, singer Jose Chameleone assured fans that he is here to stay, unlike some musicians who light up the stage and fizzle.

Chameleone was making reference to the music success of Mosey Radio and Weasel (his brother).

Half way through the performance of one of his songs, Chameleone stopped to announce: “You have been making noise that I am finished. Who finished me?” he asked. He cited examples of stars he described as bubblegums because they came, blew hot and then turned cold. He said each time a new artiste captures national attention, the public infers that Chameleone’s music career is done. “When Ziggy Dee was hot, you people said I was gone; but he faded I am still hot. There is Mesach Ssemakula, Bobi Wine, Clever J and now Weasel and Mozey Radio?

They will also go and leave me here.” Is Chameleone scared or spot-on in his prediction?
