EXPRESS FC return for their domestic league assignment against Firemasters with clear intentions of assuming new status as table leaders. The Red Eagles’ ambitions though could suffer a set-back against the unpredictable league debutants if their treasured attack fire blanks as was the case in their previous outing against Hoima.
Express needed an own goal to overcome debutantes Hoima for a 1-0 victory – a fixture that also proved just how the Wankulukuku-based outfit were so reliant on forwards Moses Ndaula and Noah Semakula.
In fact, if the Red Eagles are to prolong their winning run and in convincing style, the two attacking players will have to replicate their previous match-winning performances, more so against a side that has already stunned domestic football.
Firemasters, currently fourth on the table, are a side riding on confidence and belief.
The league debutantes will only stand a chance at Wankulukuku Stadium today if they can emulate Hoima and take care of Semakula in particular.
At Namboole stadium, SC Villa, expected to build their attacking play on the youthful shoulders of Kipson, should plunder maximum points against a Simba team is clearly in free-fall.
