THE State Minister for Higher Education, Mwesigwa Rukutana, has asked the Attorney General to intervene in the wrangle involving the suspended Kyambogo University vice- chancellor and a security officer.

He wrote to the Attorney General, Khiddu Makubuya, in a letter dated December 3, asking him to set aside the order to suspend Professor Isaiah Ndiege and the security officer, Samuel Oryem.

Isaac Muwata, the deputy registrar, last week directed that the two university officials leave office after an appeal filed by three university officials.

The assistant estates officer, Edward Turyomurugyendo, the deputy transport officer, Roger Barigye and the senior security officer, Barnabas Rwakibwana, are challenging their interrogation by the Police.
