<b>Cash at stake in Mbarara event</b><br>POOL-The winning club at the Mbarara pool tournament starting this weekend at Rwizi Arch Hotel will take home sh0.5m, sponsor Michael Tusiime has said.

POOL-The winning club at the Mbarara pool tournament starting this weekend at Rwizi Arch Hotel will take home sh0.5m, sponsor Michael Tusiime has said. “On top of the prize money and other prizes, the tournament is also aimed at spotting talent that can always represent Mbarara at national pool events,” Tusiime said at the venue.Sh300.000 and 200,000 will go to the first and second runners-up. The oldest, youngest and MVP player will also be reorganized with prizes yet to be determined.


Drivers urged on environment
RALLYING-Local motor sport governing body FMU vice president technical Kisitu Mayanja has urged rally drivers to not only observe traffic rules, but also help to protect the environment. “They have the responsibility of being disciplined not to litter oil and used oil tins everywhere, reduce the sound of their cars on top of improving their standards,” Kisitu said.

Zziwa for Berlin world bonanza
DRAUGHT-National draughts champion Frank Zziwa, will represent Uganda at the World draughts championships in Berlin, Germany, December 26-31. Frederick Kamara, the vice president of the Uganda Draughts Federation will accompany him to attend the general assembly that will coincide with the championships.
