HOW often do you run into a movie about football? Goal isn’t just another football story, but that of resilience and determination to win. It tells the story of a young man called Santiago Munez, born of a family so poor and torn apart:
his mother left, his father is rude and has a defeatist approach towards life.
However, Munez found solace in football as a child. Lately, he has carved himself out as a talented footballer, playing for a local team in Los Angeles, where his family migrated to.
When a former football star on a trip to the remote area spots Munez on the pitch, he offers to get him a place on the Newcastle United team, a thing his father is against.
But Munez’s walk to stardom is unavoidable. You just have to sit back and see him fight to get there.
