LOCAL governments in Karamoja sub-region have agreed to support the regional tier as the only system that would bail the region out of endless conflicts.

Moroto district speaker, Joseph Lomonyang, made the remarks during a meeting for regional speakers and clerks on Tuesday.
The two-day meeting was held at the African Leadership Institute. It discussed the process of supporting Karamoja to adopt to the regional tier system.
He said the tier, if properly spelt out, could address the critical issues that have hampered communities in Karamoja to develop.
