COMMONWEALTH 3000m steeplechase champion Dorcus Inzikuru and 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games bronze medallist Davis Kamoga are among the elite athletes to participate in the Commonwealth Queen’s baton relay.

The baton arrived from Tanzania yesterday for a three-day programme.
Inzikuru, battling to regain fitness ahead of the Games due in New Dehli October in next year, will receive the baton from the Inspector General of Police Brig. Kale Kayihura tomorrow.

Activities of the relay will start at Sheraton Hotel and end at Lugogo Indoor Stadium.

Policemen will run the Sheraton-Parliament leg, before athletes and other sportsmen take over the baton from Parliament to Lugogo.

Kamoga will run the last leg to Lugogo before the baton heads to Jinja. The baton will be taken to Masaka today.
The baton ends its visit on Saturday.
