IT was Iryn Namubiru’s second time to perform at Silk Lounge’s Unplugged session and again, she proved her worth. She was picked by Unplugged fans to perform on Christmas Day after a survey conducted by Club Silk management and fans.

Before she came on stage, there was a band which treated fans to a couple of songs, from rock to reggae and Afro Beat.

As it turned out, this band is going to be Iryn’s back up band. Namubiru utilised the occasion to introduce the band to her fans. The band is made up of several Congolese instrumentalists.

She will be performing as Iryn and the Fusion Band every Sunday at the Water Front, a night club in Entebbe.

This was the Band’s first performance and they put up a four-hour exhilarating performance. The sound was clear, the mini stage was well decorated and surrounded with sharp lights.

Iryn stepped on stage dressed in a tight skimpy dress and took fans on a rollercoaster of her songs. Some of the songs she performed include Yono, Njakunoba, Samwa Samwa, Simbala and others. She did an acapella of her new song Nkwagalanyo Nze Even when she had finished performing the songs fans had requested, they yearned for more as she begged to leave.
