THE Police in Bushenyi district have impounded a vehicle that was stolen from Kenya. The ominibus registration number UAK469V, was found in Ishaka town during a December 29 morning security crackdown.

The van was loading passengers to travel to Kampala.

The district Police commander, Jimmy Oyuku, said the original registration of the van was KBB 803U and that it matched the chasis number.

Oyuku said on December 24, they received information that the vehicle was spotted in Bushenyi but security agents had failed to locate it.

He said two suspects, one of them a university student who were found operating the ominibus were arrested.

He identified them as Allan Mugabe, a final year student of land science and economics at Kyambogo University and Alias Muyambi, 35, a driver.
