THE Democratic Party president, John Ssebaana Kizito, has said Uganda should emulate the manner in which Ghana held its recent presidential elections that led to the peaceful handover of power from the incumbent president, reports Charles Ariko.

Former Ghanaian head of state, John Kufuor, last week conceded the defeat of his party, the New Patriotic Party.

The hotly contested elections were won by a slim margin by John Atta Mills of the National Democratic Congress.

“There is no reason why President Museveni cannot order his men to hold free and fair elections like it happened in Ghana,” said Ssebaana.
