URA FC held onto Sam Mubiru’s 10th minute goal to pip lowly Bugerere 1-0 in a Uganda Super League match at Namboole yesterday, reports Swalley Kenyi.

URA, who looked improved after their Cranes players failed to impress in an earlier match against SC Villa, failed to pick the second and third goals after Bugerere goalkeeper Edward Ddamba frustrated efforts by Manco Kaweesa and Jackson Ssenabulya.

Bugerere’s only clear chance presented itself in the 87th minute when striker David Kiwanuka beat URA goalkeeper Abbey Dhaira but failed to rattle the net.

URA is level with Bunamwaya at 38 points but separated on goal difference.

The league returns tomorrow with champions KCC, Villa, Victors and Police all in action around the country.
