“I could not predict my results because the exams were very hard,†said 16-year-old Benjamin Opio, who scored aggregate 13, writes Jeff Lule.
Opio, who was among the best five performers at Turkish Light Academy in Kampala, said CRE and Geography were the most difficult subjects for him.
“I used to be among the first five students in class and I am happy that I have maintained my position,†he said.
Opio, who wants to study Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics, was one of the best PLE performers in Jinja district with aggregate 5 in 2005. He attributed his performance to his parents and teachers, who supported him.
“Although I had problems with fees, my parents always pleaded with the school and they allowed me to study,†Opio said.
