BIDCO Uganda have won the FUFA Zone 10 Jinja Division One league with two games to spare after stunning rivals Wanyange 2-0 on Sunday.

Patrick Onyango opened the scoring in the 39th minute before Godfrey Mukobe sealed it 20 minutes later to ensure Bidco Uganda are Zone 10 Jinja district champions.

Bidco tops the table with 53 points, ten more than second-placed Buwenge United on 43. Buwenge also still has two games to conclude the fixtures.

Bidco coach Henry Emily Amasha saluted the discipline of his players throughout the league. He also gloated about his good tactics.

Bugembe had to battle to the final whistle to celebrate their win against archrivals Arsenal at Walukuba on Friday.

Dennis Monday struck the lone goal for the visitors after seven minutes and they had to withstand the tension for most of the second half after Geoffrey Muyomba was dismissed for rough play.

In other games, Buwenge United’s winning streak was checked with a 0-0 draw against Mpumudde in a tight contest.

Struggling Budondo held JMC Hippos 1-1 while bottom-placed Kyerinda took the lead but fell 3-1 to a resilient St Jude.
