A WITCH-doctor suspected of killing a woman for sacrifice, died hours after the Police picked him up from Bwaise, a Kampala suburb, on Monday.
Musa Bogere, according to Police spokesperson Judith Nabakooba, died at about 9:00pm as detectives took him to Mulago Hospital.

“The man probably died from injuries he sustained after a beating by a mob shortly before the Police took him to Kawempe Police Station,†she said.
But Kisenyi Zone LC1 chairman, Hood Musoke, differed with Nabakooba, saying the 37-year-old was not beaten, adding that Bogere had handed himself over to the Police after consulting him for advice.
Bogere was arrested after a resident saw body parts in a latrine near his shrine. Later, he led the Police and local council officials to other remains, which were wrapped in a white sac.
Before he was detained, Bogere reportedly confessed to slaying the woman. He said Mohammed Ddumba, alias Black and two accomplices lured the woman to Bwaise to be sacrificed.
Dumba is also a resident in Kinubi zone, Kisenyi in Bwaise.
Ddumba, a boda-boda rider, is among the 11 suspects held in connection with the gruesome murder.
Other suspects are Innocent Sseremba, Sam Kibuuka, Baker Sserunjogi, Badru Salongo Sagala, Sam Lubowa, Madinah Nabatanzi, Betty Nabiryo, Justine Mbabazi and Chris Namubiru.
In reaction to the macabre killing, residents burnt down several shrines in the area.
According to the Police, Bogere said Ddumba and Fred Musa, alias Kabodde, met the woman in a night club at Bweyogerere, a Kampala suburb.
He said when the woman got drunk, Ddumba put her on his motorcycle and rode to Bwaise, where the three men cut-off her head.
“Bogere cut-off her private parts, chopped them into pieces and handed them to the men,†a Police detective said.
He then dumped the legs into the latrine after receiving sh100,000, with a promise of more once the men got lucrative jobs, the detective added.
The Police also linked Bogere to a human head, believed to have belonged to a man, which was recently recovered in the area.
Ddumba’s wife, Grace Nalumansi, defended her husband, saying he was among the residents who detested Bogere’s work.
Residents said Bogere lived alone and only interacted with clients, the majority of whom being women.
A resident, Jamali Bakiti, said his brother, Meddie Ssebi, gave Bogere a small plot, where he erected his shrine.
He said he suspected Bogere of being responsible for his brother’s sud den death, after the two had a quarrel.
Last year, Bogere was arrested for slaughtering a dog, which he said was for ritual purposes.
