THE former proprietor of Property Masters, Patrick Kasulu, still owes sh3b to over 300 people, reports Edward Anyoli.
Kasulu’s lawyer, Christine Nabachwa, yesterday told court that her client could not pay the debt.
Nabachwa also applied for a court order stopping Kasulu’s creditors from demanding money from him.
Last month, Kasulu petitioned the High Court in Kampala seeking to be declared bankrupt. Court is yet to hear the petition.
Moses Kuminkiriza, who appeared on behalf of the creditors, did not oppose the application for the temporary injunction.
Nabachwa said there were a number of civil cases against Kasulu, adding that others had been concluded, ordering Kasulu to pay.
Kasulu used to operate a real estate business, which collapsed after he was arrested in 2005 for defrauding his clients.
