JACKSON Mayanja has warned SC Villa not to expect anything less than a beating from Bunamwaya in their first leg Kakungulu Cup soccer semi-final on Sunday.

Soon after returning from Khartoum where he guided Bunamwaya to a goalless draw against CAF Champions League outfit El Merriekh, Mayanja said that he wants to extend their recent impressive performances against Villa.

This was Bunamwaya’s first international match and Mayanja believes the result was a good signal in their bid for their first silverware since promotion to the Super League in 2006.

“People should now believe that we can do anything without the presumed assistance of referees.

Bunamwaya is a good team. I respect Villa but we want to win the Kakungulu Cup,” Mayanja said.
The other semifinal is between URA and Police FC.

The games were rescheduled from early in the week to accommodate the Cranes international friendly and the KCC CAF Champions League home match against SuperSport.

The Uganda Super League is also postponed until next week for the same reasons.

URA coach Moses Basena meanwhile is worried that FUFA sanctions against him will disrupt his plan for the semi-final against Police. Basena has been asked to clear sh0.6m fine or risk being suspended from the technical bench of his club.
