Kwebiha starts on a high as Danes fall

LESS than two days after joining up with the national team, Junior Kwebiha inspired Uganda to two-wicket win in a friendly against Denmark in Johannesburg, South Africa, yesterday.
The team captain missed Uganda’s two previous warm-ups before arriving Friday but he showed no signs of rust. Kwebiha took three catches as Denmark were held to a moderate 172/6 before hitting a team-high 39 as his charges claimed victory with 13 balls to spare.
The victory was the national team’s second in three practice matches and it served to highlight Uganda’s depth in strength as it was achieved without peerless all-rounder Kenneth Kamyuka.
