Elegant, cute and beautiful ladies and girls was all that could be seen during the launch of Gayaza old Girls Association, Makerere University Chapter.

The launch at Hotel Africana on Saturday night proceeded with a dinner and a dance. MP Ruth Kavuma (Kalangala district), a former head teacher of Gayaza High school, led the team to cut the cake and serve the guests. Most of the guests were old girls of the school like Joyce Mpanga, Ruth Ssenyonyi, among others.

During the dinner, a raffle draw had students win dinner for two at Kitobero restaurant, shopping vouchers and a hair-do at Kampala first class salon.

Chairperson of the MUK Chapter, Doreen Orishaba, said the association would bring together former old girls of Gayaza, especially those in university.

Kavuma advised the girls to learn and talk about themselves especially on matters that would help them to thrive.

She said serving Gayaza as headteacher for 11 years was an eye-opener for her. “I am grateful to all those who supported me when I was the headteacher of Gayaza High School,” she said.
